Though our roots go back over 80 years, it was in 1988 that a veteran group of manufacturing experts, frustrated by the constraints of an antiquated printing industry, set about to develop a publishing services solution that combined advanced JIT (Just-In-Time) manufacturing concepts with emerging print-on-demand technologies. The result was ViaTech Publishing Solutions, the first worldwide on-demand publishing network designed to reduce all publication costs.
To us, on-demand printing is more than a production method - it is a management system that delivers true customization on a "mass" scale. Our unique distribute-and-print model allows us to electronically store content, manage the order process, digitally print, package, collate and distribute materials anywhere from next door or across the globe.
ViaTech's global network frees clients from the restrictions inherent in "master or regional plant" production. We print simultaneously in multiple locations, printing closer to the reader to eliminate distribution time and lower distribution cost, while providing security and disaster recovery.
We are uniquely positioned to provide effective and efficient global delivery with a worldwide network of company-owned facilities and strategic partnerships. Our facilities around the world provide consistent service and quality with freight savings that are nothing short of enormous.
Today, ViaTech Publishing Solutions serves over 4,000 customers around the world. Our customer base includes small, large and multinational companies in industries that include training, human resources, education, healthcare, airlines, financial services, hospitality, manufacturing and software.
Because we produce all these materials in-house, we are a complete resource for printed and collateral materials such as books, binders, index tabs, CD and DVD replication, media packaging, offset printing, laminating, folders, posters and more. This gives us control over the cost and production time, and allows us to create and distribute new product within days.
OWNERSHIP
ViaTech Publishing Solutions is a private corporation with over 400 employees, and is headquartered in Bay Shore, NY. We are an employee-owned company, with over 40% of the company owned by employees through our ESOP plan.
Our flat organization structure lends itself well to an atmosphere of focused, committed and responsible employee/partners. There are not multiple layers of management or customer service. It is the strategic business unit - comprised of cross functional employees - who control every aspect of the job from start to finish. These are the employees that get the uploaded files, work on the proofs, print and fulfill the orders. This direct communication to the production floor insures that orders ship quickly and accurately, and results in a very close relationship between client and production.
