Papa Murphy's
Papa Murphy's, the largest take-and-bake pizza company in the world, is a sprawling network of nearly 800 franchised
and company-owned stores throughout 22 states.
Their printing requirements included ongoing production of catalogs, fulfillment kits, manuals, reports, laminated
charts and posters. Working with a traditional fulfillment house created numerous problems for Papa Murphy’s. Rigid
printing operations did not allow Papa Murphy’s to make minor revisions, updates, or last minute changes to materials.
In order to receive a cost break on production, Papa Murphy’s had to invest in large print runs– overproducing thousands
just to save pennies per piece.
Even with this huge investment in inventory, there were still complaints of slow response time and outdated information.
ViaTech Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory model allowed Papa Murphy’s to print short digital runs on an as-needed basis.
Each run could be easily updated with the most current corporate information. In a matter of days Papa Murphy’s could
order, produce and distribute to the field materials that used to take weeks to provide.
